DEMO: Making Painting Panels
2009 March 7
New demo! Here’s the scoop on how to make small panels you can paint on directly. These are great for plein aire, daily paintings, or any other kind of small work in oil or acrylic.

Why small? Well, masonite is great, but in larger sizes (over 12″ on a side in my experience) there’s a greater likelihood it will warp, torque, or cup. Not every panel, but enough of them that I don’t use them anymore.
