I agree totally that the white printing on the black background is very harsh and tiring on my eyes. So you've now got a blog that is content rich, generously, abundantly helpful, AND easy to read. The demos are like bon bon treats and it seems that whatever topic you cover on a particular day, it's just the topic I was grappling with or thinking about. I use Safari almost all the time for browsing and this looks great. I had been uncomfortable with your old site (although I enjoyed the content) because of the white type on black background.
