POLL: Virtual Workshop

2009 April 4
by Lisa Gloria

Wow, we just finished the first session of the virtual workshop and it was great!  Small technical hiccups, but that’s to be expected.  And lots of demonstration, which I normally don’t get to do because I am walking around.  The early photos of first day work they’ve sent me are amazing. It totally works.  :-)

So!  We’re going to schedule some more workshops soon.  Help us out - what do you think you might want to see?  There’s a poll on the right side of this page (and every page on this site).  If you could take a few seconds to give your opinion, we’d appreciate it.

As far as price goes, we haven’t settled that yet.  It will definitely go up, but not as high as most workshops you’d see.  We believe that art is not an exclusive club, and everyone should have access.  Things like mobility, child care, travel, and expense shouldn’t be obstacles to learning this stuff.  If you have an idea, toss us a comment.

So, we’re on a mission.  ;-)

So far the workshop is excellent. I will probably do the painting again. Being at home with family and interuptions is a small price to pay for not having to travel and cart everything around.
    Can’t wait till tommorow.

I am interesting in signing up for one of your workshops, if it works for me timewise. I really enjoy your blog!

    You are on the list!

Alla prima is the top vote getter right now? That’s a bit of a surprise. What do you think - rooster? I like the roosters…. Flowers? People?

And more power to you. I think it’s a fantastic thing you’re doing, bringing quality art instruction to people who might not otherwise be able to get it easily. I hope this idea goes from strength to strength, and have no doubt that it will.
