LIVE WORKSHOP TOPIC?
I’m going to be teaching a workshop in Aurora, live and in person, in the next few months. I’ve gotten requests for portraits, figures, and still life…. Figures are not possible in the space I’ve got, so it has to be portraits or still life.
Which one would you all prefer? Even if you can’t travel to Aurora - go ahead and give an answer! The poll is on the right side of the page (if you’re viewing at at http://artstudiosecrets.com).
Of course I love to teach portraits. Usually I find I can do the most good there, with lots of a-ha moments from attendees. However with still life, everybody builds their own box and lighting and proceeds with a slightly more open viewpoint. Then again, with portraits I can demonstrate a good portion of the time. Then again, with still life, the model is never absent.
The space I’ve (nearly) procured is HUGE too, right on the lovely Fox river, in historic Downtown Aurora, like 3 blocks from the Metra station. So exciting.
