Jim Gurney has a cool post about Norman Rockwell’s use of photos and models on his website here: http://gurneyjourney.blogspot.com/2009/10/rockwell-and-camera.html Wow. It’s so funny - I guess I always try to avoid extreme expression in portraits, I never really thought about what Norm’s (he lets me call him “Norm”) model references looked like. Elucidating!
